FarMor Publishing is sponsoring a writing contest for all 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders currently enrolled in Orange County High Schools (public and private).
In 500 words, describe what freedom means to you! You can express yourself through poetry, short story, etc.
Submissions will be judged on: • originality & creativity • ability to clearly express/convey your thoughts
All entries must be submitted to info@farmorpublishing.com or postmarked to FarMor Publishing, P.O. Box 585633, Orlando, FL 32858 by Friday, June 19, 2009.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners: • 1st place receives $100 and publication of his/her work in the July issue of FarMor Publishing's monthly newsletter, New Direction
• 2nd place receives $50
• 3rd place receives $25
The winners will be announced on Friday, July 3 during the 2009 Independence Celebration, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in Olympia High School’s auditorium.
